Visiting Our Office

We have small (aprox. 15 person) and large (aprox. 50 person) conference rooms available. Moira Howard-Jewler is the person to contact to reserve these rooms and set up any necessary catering.

Notice:

Due to security requirements in the building, all visitors to the our offices must check in at the ground floor entrance. If you do not have a DOE access badge, you will need to obtain a building visitor badge. To expedite this process, visitors are encouraged to RSVP to their meeting host or call (202) 488-2250 ahead of time.

Metal detectors and x-ray screening of personal items are required for all visitors and staff entering the building.

Driving

From Virginia: Take Interstate 395 North across the 14th Street bridge. On the bridge, stay in the right most lane, continuing on 395 North. The right most lane becomes an exit only lane going toward L'Enfant Promenade/D Street. Take this exit. Immediately after you pass under the bridge at the bottom of the ramp, turn left into the Park America garage. This is about 30 yards after the end of the off ramp. There is public parking in LBNL-DC's building. To park there you will be required to show a photo ID. If you intend to park in the building, please plan on the additional time needed to gain access to the garage.

From DC: From Independence Ave, south of the Mall, head south on 12th Street (the Smithsonian Metro stop is on this corner). Drive to the third stop light. Turn left onto D Street. Immediately after you pass under the second bridge, turn left into the Park America garage. There is public parking in LBNL-DC's building. To park there you will be required to show a photo ID. If you intend to park in the building, please plan on the additional time needed to gain access to the garage.

Parking costs $7 for one hour, $13 for up to 2 hours, and $16 for the day. A lost ticket costs $20, and the "early bird" rate (in by 9 a.m.) is $12 for the day.

METRO

L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station is on the yellow and green or blue and orange lines. There are multiple exits from this station. Look for the exit marked "L'Enfant Plaza." When in doubt, ask a station attendant near any of the turnstiles. At the top of the escalator in front of to the entrance to the enclosed mall area of L'Enfant Plaza, make a U-turn to the right and exit onto the Plaza and D Street. Go down the steps and turn left (west). Walk half a block and cross the street to 901 D Street.
